Frequently Asked Questions
How do I size a Tembo Seven Star hanger?
Size the hanger to the pipe’s outside diameter — not the nominal bore. A 2″ steel pipe has an OD of 60.3 mm, and the clamp or hanger must match that. For insulated lines, size to the OD of the insulation plus a protection shield, and never clamp directly onto insulation.
Clevis hanger or loop hanger — which do I need?
Clevis hangers for suspended steel pipe runs — adjustable and the MEP standard. Loop (split-ring) hangers for small-bore, light-duty, non-insulated lines such as copper plumbing, where economy and speed matter. Tell us the pipe material and size and we will confirm the right type.
Do you supply the rods, anchors, and fasteners with the hangers?
Yes — threaded hanger rods, anchors, bolts, nuts, and washers are part of the Tembo Seven Star support package. Order them together with the hangers; a hanger without its rod is a site delay. Match fastener coatings to the environment — hot-dip galvanized or stainless for coastal and external work.
